Crafty Lil Buggers!

Illegal aliens, illegal drugs, terrorists... COME ON DOWN!!!You think with all of the great technology the United States has, you'd assume we would've found this before or immediately following completion. Well, I'm wrong. It was recently found connecting Tijuana to San Diego, one of the 21 found in recent months. Hmmmm, maybe we should beef it up a little bit, right W?

From the Yahoo! article:

Inside a five-foot-wide tunnel, with just enough room for an adult to stand, authorities say they discovered two tons of marijuana this week, and what they believe was a passageway for drug trade.

The 2,400-foot long tunnel is lengthier than most of the 21 cross-border tunnels that have been discovered since authorities began keeping track after the Sept. 11 attacks, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials said.

It's time to tighten the borders, create a fence, and stop this BS. A lot can be fixed by growing some cajones and tightening up National Security. Alright George, work your magic. We need a fence, We need a fence!

For that, you'd need "thumpers" to collapse the tunnels

I doubt a fence like that would work for cubans coming into florida.

How about if we do one of those big invisible fences like they use for dogs and put it all around the US, including Hawaii and Alaska and then get everyone else in the world to wear one of those collars?

Or would that just be silly?

I doubt there'd be enough nuclear power plants available to take care of that kind of jolt

A force field would be pretty cool but I was thinking more like the Great Wall of China.

Dan, how would you like it if I came into your house and started eating from your fridge?

Good luck at finding much edible in my fridge right now!

I suppose by this comment that you are suggesting that "illegals" are coming and taking out of the US without giving anything to it. From what I've read, though, immigrants contribute a great deal to our economy and, not being citizens, don't get as much as they put in.

A February 2005 study entitled “The Contribution of Legal Immigration to the Social Security System” found that, over the next 75 years, new legal immigrants entering the U.S. will provide a net benefit of $611 billion in present value to America’s Social Security system, according to official Social Security Administration data. Illegal immigrants also contribute far more to the system than they take out, although it's harder to quantify for obvious reasons.

fyi.
