Borders, Strategies, and the US Government

A lot of people are wondering why we're dragging our feet about this immigration issue. There are also a lot of speculations on why - slow bureaucracy, democrats & republicans disagreeing, November elections, whatever. Sure we can speculate all day about what will happen and when the policy does finally materialize, it'll be some watered down and forgiving legislation.

Undoubtedly it will not appease the actual majority of constituents but hey, nothing will really happen even if we did complain. Well, I'd like to speculate on my take of this issue. I believe there is an underlying premise here - disintegrating global borders. Call me conspiratorial, call me nuts, but just don't call me a neocon.

The neoconservative agenda is at work here and we're blind to it. I really believe that it is a concerted effort and slowly but surely, the process is in motion. For instance, the government is in the works of launching a "North American Partnership" between the US, Mexico, and Canada. Something that sounds nice and sweet on the inside:

The Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America (SPP) was launched in March of 2005 as a trilateral effort to increase security and enhance prosperity among the United States, Canada and Mexico through greater cooperation and information sharing.

This trilateral initiative is premised on our security and our economic prosperity being mutually reinforcing. The SPP recognizes that our three great nations are bound by a shared belief in freedom, economic opportunity, and strong democratic institutions.

The SPP provides the framework to ensure that North America is the safest and best place to live and do business. It includes ambitious security and prosperity programs to keep our borders closed to terrorism yet open to trade.

But in actuality, this is the agenda (taken from a post on Free Republic which you can read in its entirety here):

Quietly but systematically, the Bush Administration is advancing the plan to build a huge NAFTA Super Highway, four football-fields-wide, through the heart of the U.S. along Interstate 35, from the Mexican border at Laredo, Tex., to the Canadian border north of Duluth, Minn.

Once complete, the new road will allow containers from the Far East to enter the United States through the Mexican port of Lazaro Cardenas, bypassing the Longshoreman's Union in the process. The Mexican trucks, without the involvement of the Teamsters Union, will drive on what will be the nation's most modern highway straight into the heart of America. The Mexican trucks will cross border in FAST lanes, checked only electronically by the new "SENTRI" system. The first customs stop will be a Mexican customs office in Kansas City, their new Smart Port complex, a facility being built for Mexico at a cost of $3 million to the U.S. taxpayers in Kansas City.

As incredible as this plan may seem to some readers, the first Trans-Texas Corridor segment of the NAFTA Super Highway is ready to begin construction next year. Various U.S. government agencies, dozens of state agencies, and scores of private NGOs (non-governmental organizations) have been working behind the scenes to create the NAFTA Super Highway, despite the lack of comment on the plan by President Bush. The American public is largely asleep to this key piece of the coming "North American Union" that government planners in the new trilateral region of United States, Canada and Mexico are about to drive into reality.

This is serious stuff here. There is an agenda at hand that has been going on for years. I encourage everyone to read up on it. I know I'm going to catch some heat for this post from some of my readers but so be it. I think the government is being commandeered and no one's even noticing.

Tensions Running High Between Hillary And Dem Senate Leader Reid
Wed Jun 28 2006 09:35:50 ET

The exceedingly intense rivalry between Sens. Hillary Rodham Clinton (N.Y.) and Charles Schumer (N.Y.) embroiled just about everybody in the Senate Democratic leadership Tuesday, including Minority Leader Harry Reid (Nev.) and his spokeswoman, ROLL CALL reports.

Apparently, Clinton and her staff felt snubbed when party leaders organized a news conference in which they vowed to block efforts to give Members of Congress a pay raise until Congress approves an increase in the minimum wage. Clinton has introduced legislation along those lines, but she was not involved in planning the leadership's news conference to trumpet the issue.

ROLL CALL's Mary Ann Akers: Although Clinton, a close adviser of Reid's, was ultimately invited to attend the news conference, she was not told about the event until just hours before it began Tuesday.

While the noon event was hastily arranged - planning for it only began Monday night - a Clinton aide was apparently so furious that the Senator seemed to be left out of the loop that she bawled out ("reamed out" was how one source put it) a spokeswoman for Reid near the entrance to the Senate Radio-Television Gallery.

The Clinton aide, Laurie Rubiner, was overheard saying to Reid spokeswoman Rebecca Kirszner, "You suck" and "How could you do this?"

China Exposed?!?

Whenever I read a story about China, I really feel the need to post. China is an enemy to both the United States and to mankind. I just read a report that you can read here in which there is evidence to abuse of Chinese citizens.

To give you a quick summary, China is outgrowing its power output so to try and relieve the burden, they intend on damming the Yangtze river. This of course will cost over 1.2 million citizens their homes. Now, the government has promised to pay a fair value to each resident but the government is coming through on their end of the deal. Well, most in China know to not speak out against the government but of course, some do. In this case, Fu Xiancai, a resident near the Yangtze spoke out to a German news outlet and was immediately taken into custody. Shortly after his release, he was beaten by 'assailants' who actually paralyzed him.

This obviously isn't the first accusation of assault. China has been known for silencing reporters, farmers, and any 'dissidents.' The worst part is, our country isn't acting out. Bush has recently renewed* China with their status of MFN (most favored nation) in regards to all trading relations. This must be severed and we must implore ethical treatments of citizens. Not only is China abusing its citizens, its building an arsenal to silence anyone who speaks out against these atrocities.

Murtha is the Enemy

I'm sick and tired of Murtha and his asinine remarks. This "decorated war veteran" is no more than a traitor in my eyes. His constant assaults on the United States, our President, and our troops must stop. His politically charged banter is only hurting our efforts globally and at home as well.

The Arizona Star opens up a recent article with:

"American presence in Iraq is more dangerous to world peace than nuclear threats from North Korea or Iran, Rep. John Murtha, D-Pa., said to an audience of more than 200 in North Miami Saturday afternoon. "

I don't know what bothers me more, the fact that he can call himself a veteran or that he can call himself a representative of the American public. He should be charged with treason and expelled from office.

I Salute You

For my first post back, I felt the need to applaud a politician that is patriotic, fearless, and most importantly, honors the requests of his constituents. Mayor Lou Barletta of Hazleton, PA has had enough of illegal immigrants and he's 'putting the smackdown.' Barletta is cleaning house, arresting illegals on any charge and removing them from the city.

"Illegal immigrants are destroying the city," said Mayor Lou Barletta, a Republican. "I don't want them here, period."

Last week Barletta introduced, and the City Council tentatively approved, a measure that would revoke the business licenses of companies that employ illegal immigrants; impose $1,000 fines on landlords who rent to illegal immigrants; and make English the city's official language.

Bravo to you Mayor Barletta, I support your efforts and I only wish that I had a Mayor like you in Milwaukee. Good luck and hopefully you are the benchmark of the other cities in distress.

A Beautiful Morning Poem (and some other quips)

***Note: The following post was sent to me via email. By no means do these jokes express the views of this blog or its owner. Neo-Con Tastic is simply passing what was sent to me.***

I woke early one morning,
The earth lay cool and still
When suddenly a tiny bird
Perched on my window sill,
He sang a song so lovely
So carefree and so gay,
That slowly all my troubles
Began to slip away.
He sang of far off places
Of laughter and of fun,
It seemed his very trilling,
Brought up the morning sun.
I stirred beneath the covers
Crept slowly out of bed,
Then gently shut the window
And crushed his little head.

I'm not a morning person.

At a bar somewhere in Texas........

A Mexican drinks his beer and suddenly throws his glass in the air, pulls out his pistol and shoots the glass to pieces. He says, "In Mexico our glasses so cheap we don't need to drink from the same glass twice."

An Iraqi, obviously impressed by this, drinks his beer, throws his glass into the air, pulls out his AK-47 and shoots the glass to pieces. He says, "In Iraq we have so much sand to make glasses that we don't need to drink out of the same glass twice either."

The Texan, cool as a cucumber, picks up his beer and drinks it, throws his glass into the air, pulls out his gun and shoots the Mexican and the Iraqi, and catches his glass. He says, "In America, we have so many illegal Aliens that we don't have to drink with the same ones twice."
