Hot off the presses from Miami, FL, Jack Abramoff is getting the minimum sentence of 5 years and 10 months for the fraudulent wire transfers of SunCruz lines. Yahoo News has the whole story:
"I am much chastened and profoundly remorseful," Abramoff said. "I can only hope that the almighty and those whom I have wronged will forgive me my trespasses."

After reading the whole story, I'd say he got off easy...
Whether Democrat or Republican, crooks should be punished. Isn't it amazing how they always ask for forgiveness after they have been caught! While no one but themselves know about their crime, they have no remorse whatsoever!
But wait! This pleading for forgiveness worked for Clinton, didn't it? Ol' Abramoff is taking lessons from a master.
AB - He got off extremely easy but in comparison to white-collar criminals, I think he got a long jail sentence.
GAYLE - Amen Sister.
Yes, it's too bad that he's a Republican but my no means does that mean I care for him (he's a crook) much less should he be portrayed as a symbol of the party. The MSM tried pawning him off on us when in actuality, his crimes aren't party motivated (he payed both Pubbies and Demmies).
Gayle...(lol) summed it up great...as always. Just love her...
